Q: What is the difference between Grade A, B and C pallets?

It is a condition grade for used pallets. Grade A is near-new - lightly used with minimal wear and close to new, at a lower price. Grade B is a good, serviceable used pallet, sometimes with minor repairs - the everyday workhorse. Grade C is heavily used but still fully functional, the lowest-cost option for internal or one-way loads.

Q: Can used pallets be used for export?

Yes, if they are ISPM15-treated. A used pallet that already carries a clear, valid IPPC/ISPM15 stamp and has not been repaired with untreated wood can be reused for export. We can supply ISPM15-compliant export pallets, new or reconditioned.

Grade A Used Pallets

Grade A pallets are our best used stock — basically new but devalued. They've been used only lightly, show minimal wear, need no significant repair, and look and perform very close to a brand-new pallet, at a lower price. The natural choice where presentation, export or a demanding load still matters but you don't want to pay for new.

Grade B is the everyday workhorse — a good, sound, serviceable used pallet that may carry the odd minor repair but is more than up to general distribution and internal movement. The most popular grade for most buyers, balancing condition and cost.

Grade C Used Pallets

Grade C is the economy option — heavily used but still structurally sound and fully functional. Expect visible wear and repairs. When the pallet is doing a straightforward job — internal moves, one-way despatch, non-critical loads — Grade C keeps costs to a minimum.

When only new will do, we supply brand-new standard UK pallets — clean, consistent and to a guaranteed specification. New makes up around 20% of what we supply, for hygiene-sensitive, presentation or spec-critical loads. (We supply new standard pallets; new Euro pallets are a licensed product — see below.)

The 1200 × 800 mm Euro pallet is the standard for pooled and pan-European supply. We supply quality used and reconditioned Euro pallets in bulk, graded to condition. Note: new EPAL pallets can only be produced by EPAL-licensed and audited manufacturers, so we don't offer new Euro pallets — only good used stock.

ISPM15 Export Pallets

Shipping outside the UK? ISPM15 export pallets are heat-treated to 56°C for 30 minutes and stamped with the registered IPPC mark, so your consignment clears customs. We supply ISPM15 pallets new or reconditioned — and a used pallet with a clear, valid IPPC stamp can be reused for export.

Are used pallets as strong as new pallets?

A sound Grade A or B used pallet performs to a similar standard as new for most loads, which is why used pallets make up around 80% of what we supply. We inspect and grade every used pallet so you get consistent, reliable stock. Where a guaranteed new specification or hygiene is essential, we also supply new pallets.

Do you sell new Euro (EPAL) pallets?

No. New EPAL Euro pallets can only be made by EPAL-licensed and audited manufacturers, so we don't offer new Euro pallets. We do supply good-quality used and reconditioned Euro pallets in bulk.

Can used pallets be used for export?

How much cheaper are used pallets than new?

Used pallets are typically a good deal cheaper than new, with the exact saving depending on grade, size and volume — Grade C is the lowest cost and Grade A the closest to new. Send us your requirement and we'll quote a firm trade price, usually the same working day.
